Paris Airport Transportation

Paris airport transportation – here is a complete guide that will help you choose transportation to/from Paris airports.  You’ll be happy to know that there are a variety of transportation options available to you upon landing. There are 3 major airports in Paris, Charles de gaulle and Orly are closer than Beauvais.

If you’re arriving in Paris from an international location, chances are you’ll be coming into Charles De Gaulle Airport, known in short as CDG Airport, as it receives the most passenger traffic of all airports in France. CDG is huge and offers a number of convenient transport options to your final destination in Paris. The airport has internal stations for the RER B line and the TGV, so you can get CDG Airport transfers to either of those lines directly from within the terminals. Additionally, there is a bus called Roissybus that departs from CDG and goes straight into the heart of Paris. CDG Airport transfers are the easiest of all Paris airports.

Easy Paris Airport transportation is also available for those arriving in Orly Airport. Orly is the second most trafficked airport in France. Before CDG, Orly Airport was France’s central airport. To get to Paris from Orly, many passengers take the Orlyval shuttle train to Antoni station, then switch to the RER B line towards Paris. Alternatively, you can take a shuttle bus from Orly Airport to Point de Rungis and transfer to the RER C line, if that line is more convenient for your final destination. For buses, you can take the Orlybus to Denfert-Rochereau station, which is located in central Paris, or city buses 285 and 183.

If you’re flying on a budget airline, (likely from another European location) you might arrive in Beauvais Airport. One of the most popular ways to get from Beauvais Airport to central Paris is on the Beauvais Airport shuttle. It takes under an hour and a half and drops you off at Porte Maillot. Additionally, there are other private coaches and minibuses that offer competitive prices and different drop-off locations.

On top of all the transportation options specified, there is always the good old taxi service. Mind that this is by far more expensive than any other alternative. another option would be a shuttle service. Pre order in advance and you are sorted out! A driver will wait for you at the arrivals gate with a sign baring your name and provide yuo with a door-to-door transportation,

Regardless of which Paris Airport transportation option you choose, it’s a good idea to check routes and schedules to find one that matches your needs best. Airports can be stressful places, so plan ahead!
